Mogul newsletter, December

Merry Christmas everybody

2011 has been huge for Mogul and we wish to extend a big thanks to everybody who has supported us on our journey this year.

That includes our wonderful clients, staff, suppliers, friends, family, advisors, mentors, the inner circle, the outer circle (not so much), and the esteemed members of the Treachers Lane Friday Night Wine and Beer Appreciation Society (T-FWABS).

We have big plans for 2012 and we've got some wonderful projects in the works. But first we need a holiday!

So we wish you all the best for a safe and enjoyable Christmas and New Year's break. Our office will be closed from Thursday 22 December 2011 to Wednesday 4 January 2011.

Have a great one we'll see you on the other side!

Cheers,

Matt, George, Anna, Louie and Bren

Introducing...

Anna Hamilton, Project Manager

We welcomed a new Project Manager, Anna Hamilton in October.

At Mogul we all work across your projects, and we think it's important that you know we are real people - so here she is!

Anna has seven years’ experience in Project and Events Management; recently joining Mogul after five years as Events Manager at Massey University.

Anna’s experience gives her an ability to work across several different projects at one time, meet deadlines and build strong client relationships. Instinctive time management and prioritisation skills mean she loves the getting the job done, on time and just as the client expected.

Work can be fun

Highlights of 2011

It's been a hugely busy year. Looking back on 2011, here is a short list of the things we're most proud of.

WEBSITES

AWARDS

Two of our clients won awards this year for their websites.

CONFERENCES

We attended 5 conferences this year. Highlights were:

NEW PARTNERSHIPS

We have established an excellent relationship with Napier-based  agency Tracta after winning the Massey University account in a joint pitch.

We have been doing some fabulous work for Massey which we will be able to share with you in the New Year, but we have just launched a new version of Massey's engine.ac.nz campaign website.

RECENT WORK

Our Recently Launched Projects

Massey University

http:www.engine.ac.nz

The Engine of the new New Zealand - this is Massey's showcase, featuring profiles of some outstanding New Zealanders who have studied or currently work at Massey University and gives details of how these ‘defining people’ got to where they are today, what they studied and how you can get there too.

SPARC Knowledge Library

http://www.srknowledge.org.nz

SPARC is the Crown Entity responsible for sport and physical recreation in New Zealand. SPARC required a Knowledge Library website, allowing researchers around New Zealand to publish research projects, ideas, and research reports and publications.

Conrad Properties Limited

Conrad Properties Limited

http://www.conradproperties.com.au

Conrad Properties is a Real Estate Development and Investment company with offices in Sydney, Bermuda and New Zealand.

The brief was for a crisp, clean site without a lot of text, and emphasis on imagery.

The site has a fantastic gallery of dynamic images of Conrad’s completed developments and cityscapes of Sydney, Bermuda and Auckland.

How to Train Your Dragon - The Arena Spectacular

http://www.dragonslive.co.nz

How do you convey the power of such a spectacle on a tiny screen? You do it by incorporating online video courtesy of YouTube, an embedded Facebook page, and a widescreen background image of a massive dragon surrounded by ecstatic fans shrouded in smoke, all on a black background.

Awesome!

Words of wisdom

Really smart thinking

"The great thing in the world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving."

Oliver Wendell Holmes

In our case, we're moving towards a beach...  ahhh.

In the meantime, keep your eyes firmly on the data.

Cheers

The Team at Mogul - Matt Miller, George Miller, Anna Hamilton, Bren Murrell, Louis Coyle
