Are all shade cloths created equal?

The simple answer: NO, they're not.

At 0800 Sunshade we only use Rainbow Shade’s Z16 shade cloth for our sunshades. The reasons are simple:

The reasons are simple:

1)  Z16 has effectively protected children and adults alike throughout Australasia for over 20 years – it has truly stood the test of time so we trust it to protect you and your charges.

2) We like the bright and crisp colours of Z16 – all 26 of them!

3)  It has some of the highest UV reduction factors in the industry – and these are independently verified by the Technical University of Queensland to stringent standards. No vague statements like “up to xx% protection” – the UV protection factors quoted are actual results for each colour.

4)  Z16 has a unique fabrication structure – it has specific stretch factors and product memory built into it, a form of elasticity. This means that if your sunshade is correctly fabricated, installed and tensioned it will look crisp and tight for many years.  No “hammock effect” for our customers!

5)  The special fabrication method also imparts an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio – meaning less strain on supporting structures.

6)  Z16 comes with an excellent 10 year warranty against UV degradation.

There are lots of other technical reasons that make Z16 the premium shade cloth available in Australasia – but the six above are probably the most important from your perspective.

Just for Laughs: Quotable Quotes

“The key to being a good manager is keeping the people who hate me away from those who are still undecided” – Casey Stengel

“A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain” – Mark Twain

“There was a very cautious man who never laughed or played; he never risked, he never tried, he never sang or prayed. And when one day he passed away, his insurance was denied; for since he never really lived, they claimed he never died.” - Anonymous
