Design Builders set to expand
While other companies are rethinking their future or dealing with the economic downturn, Design Builders is continuing to grow. We are very proud to open Design Builders East Coast (Gisborne and Whakatane) and Design Builders Wairarapa on July 1st. Design Builders Welllington opens its door on August 1st. The continuous demand for original homes by our clients has been the main driver around our expansion. HB house market on the rise |

Property values Hawke’s Bay overall are on the rise, compared to last year.
Napier property values are 6.5% higher, Hastings values are 3.3% ahead of this time last year.
Values across New Zealand are 5.6% above the same time last year.
The market remains patchy and buyer cautious.
Well presented good quality properties are continuing to sell quickly at healthy values, whereas those with less desirable attributes are proving hard to shift.
Fewer investors are actively buying and some are selling their investment properties now after the tax changes announced in the Budget 2010.
Statsistics NZ shows that the volume of residential building activity has increased 2.0% in the March 2010 quarter, after removing seasonal effects. This increase follows a 7.2% increase in the December 2009 quarter. In contrast, the volume of non-residential building activity fell 0.8% in the March 2010 quarter.
